Soccer History
Soccer is the most popular sport played worldwide. Where it originated from is still unknown. The main origins of soccer are from China, Japan, Greece/Rome, Egypt, and Britian. China played a game similar to soccer called Tsu Chu. Japan played Kemari which involved hacky sacks. Greece and Rome had multiple sports that were similar to soccer. Britian had the most influence over modern day soccer.
The Britians played soccer more as a war game because they would cut the heads off of their enemies and kick them around. People continued to play soccer in Britian with a ball, but it was a brutal sport. Many players were killed because of the harshness of the game. A king tried to ban it, but poeple continued to play. After awhile, rules were instogated which made the game wa less harsh. That is the modern game of soccer we play today.
